Hello there,
I'm not familiar with Tammy Taylor but I do love the Akzents odorless acrylic line. It's what I trained on and it's an awesome product!

Have used an odourless system before and I must say I changed quick smart to normal system. It set so slowly that I would just never be able to work it. Not for me I am afraid. It wasnt Tammy Taylor though, what problems are you experiencing?

Have you tried contacting going to her website and emailing for help? I haven't tried the odourless yet but whenever I have contacted her before I got an answer pretty quick.

Hey I used TT a long time ago I hated IT! You need to make sure your room has proper venting. And also odorles does not mean VAPORLESS. Be careful would wanna see ya face down in your powder Jar Lol

Thanks for all the help and suggestions. I have already gone to a class and contacted the company and instructors. The spa that I am working at is very good with keeping everything up to code. The problem that I am having is it is setting up too slow compared to the tradition TT. And too dry. I have started playing with Brisa gel. Is this good? any Suggestions are welcome.

I've been using Tammy Taylor Odorless since Dec 07 and and all of my clients nails are turning yellow. Does anybody have any advise on how i can stop this from happening. I've contacted the company but unfortunatly they say that all the steps that i'm doing are right.

Hiya I'm no expert on L&P or TT, but could it be that your brush is contaminated?

i'm trained in tammy taylor regular liquid and powder acrylic and think its a great product. but i know the odourless is quite different to work with.
with an odourless acrylic, the top layer doesnt set and has to be 'rolled off' with a file. are you sure your product isnt setting, or could it just be this top layer ?
if you need an odour free product with the strength of regular acrylic, i'd reccomend the lechat powder gel system. its very easy to work with.

Once the top layer is buffed off, the rest of the nail is perfectly dry. The results of what they look like is beautiful and very durable except the yellow gets worse all the time.

could be contamination in your brush, does it leave a yellowishmark when its dipped in monomer and wiped on a tissue ?
or maybe you can prevent yellowing by using u.v protecting top coats on your nails.

actually yes, it does leave a yellow mark on the tissue as well. i'm not sure that it's my brush as i actually went out and bought another one and it does the same thing. i'm wondering if it's the monomer that's not good.
i am using u.v. on the nails as well.
it's really weird, the company can't even understand why it's happening.

definately sounds like contamination. could be in the monomer if you have got it with the new brush too. have you been dipping the brush directly in the bottle of monomer or pouring back unused monomer ? or maybe not storing the bottle in a cool dark place ?
if you have some tt brush cleaner, give your brush a good soak in it [pour a little in a dappen dish].
then use some mild shampoo and conditioner on the brush and give it a thorough rinse. allow to dry and then give your brush a little soak in monomer and give it a thorough wipe. repeat the monomer and wipe as neccessary and hopefully you might get your brush to come clean again.

Hello there, I have not used the TT odorless before, but I have used OPI Clarite, and Vicki Peters odorless. I was told that with odorless you need to use a very dry ratio because you do not need that much liquid with the odorless powders as you do with traditional liquid and powder. That is why manufacturers usually recommend using a flat brush because it holds less liquid. The more liquid you use, that is what can cause yellowing. Also, I am pretty sure that I have read that odorless systems are just more prone to yellowing over time than most traditional systems. I believe they are more porous. HTH a bit!
