Several temporary competition venues have been set up in the heart of Paris for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Here's everything you need to know about the key dates of disruption before, during and after the Games.
Seven temporary sites in Paris will host competitions from July 27 to August 11: the Trocadéro, the Eiffel Tower, the Champ-de-Mars, the esplanade des Invalides, the Alexandre-III bridge, the Place de la Concorde for the Olympic competitions and the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville for the festivities and the start of the marathon.
Five of them will also be used for the Paralympic Games: at the Eiffel Tower, Champ-de-Mars, Invalides esplanade, Alexandre-III bridge and Place de la Concorde.
The perimeter of the Paris Centre zone during the Games
During the Games, the Paris Prefecture de Police has set up perimeters around the competition venues to ensure the safety of spectators, athletes and local residents. The first perimeters were activated on Wednesday July 24 (Parc des Princes), and the last ones will remain active until August 11.
