Good leaders aren't born, they're developed. 💪That's why we're implementing Building Leadership Impact across our department. Building Leadership Impact, developed by the Public Sector Commission, is an initiative designed to strengthen the leadership behaviours of all public sector employees so that we can better serve the WA community. This begins with leading ourselves, and taking responsibility for our own leadership development and growth. For more information about Building Leadership Impact and how it will benefit the sector, visit https://lnkd.in/gvX2tmg8

The role of the Office of Digital Government is to lead the State’s digital transformation, reshaping how we best serve the public and work internally. One important goal is to ensure the sector has the right people to enable digital transformation and the Digital Public Sector Graduate Program (the program), is central to achieving this. Last month, our Digital Public Sector Graduate team hosted its first ‘Public Sector Graduate Co Meet Up’, bringing agencies together to connect, collaborate, share ideas and expertise in how we can attract a diverse workforce to the sector. The meet up had a great turnout with 11 public sector agencies in attendance🤝. Thank you to Natasha Williams, Graduate Program Manager and Lydia Rock, Graduate Coordinator for organising this event and Jonas Petersen, Chief Digital Officer, and Ray Z. Director of Digital Transformation and Strategy, for their support. We can’t wait to see the outcomes for our future Graduate cohorts! 🤩

🤝Supporting, empowering, and securing opportunities for ACCOs.🤝When Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCOs) are involved in planning, designing and delivering services, Aboriginal people are more likely to engage with those services and likely to experience better outcomes. The WA Government has released a Whole-of-government ACCO strategy that sets out the approach for WA Government agencies to support ACCOs to take on service delivery, supporting commitments in the Aboriginal Empowerment Strategy and the National Agreement on Closing the Gap.
